Yasser Noori, Environmental Activist from Javanrud, Sentenced to 4 Months in Prison

The fourth branch of the Revolutionary Court in Kermanshah has sentenced Yasser Noori, a 32-year-old environmental activist from Javanrud, to 4 months of prison. According to the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Yasser Noori has been charged with 'propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran in favor of opposition groups.' The verdict was communicated to him on Wednesday, October 25. Reportedly, government agents arrested this former political prisoner in August of this year, along with physical assault, in Javanrud. The environmental activist was temporarily released on bail after some time. He has a history of previous arrests and prison sentences.
