Zelensky: Iranian Drones Are a Threat to Everyone

Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, described the drones of the Islamic Republic as a 'threat to everyone.' In an interview with Reuters, which he shared on his Telegram channel, he stated, 'If their drones {of the Islamic Republic of Iran} can fly thousands of kilometers, what is to stop them from flying 10,000 kilometers?' He emphasized, 'Nothing.' Mr. Zelensky added, 'It will only take a little time, and they {the Islamic Republic of Iran} will have all of this.' The President of Ukraine also said, 'You need to be protected: America needs support, other countries, like those in the Middle East, need peace.' The Islamic Republic of Iran delivered thousands of drones to Moscow after Russia's invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, which have been used in attacks on various regions of Ukraine. Ukraine had previously announced that Russia has employed over 8,000 Iranian-made drones in its operations since the start of the war. In this regard, according to the English section of Voice of America, Iran's support, which initially was limited to selling drones to Russia, has expanded to participation in their production on Russian soil. Despite repeated warnings from the international community regarding support for Vladimir Putin's illegal invasion of Ukraine, Iran has not only not reduced its support for Russia but has also elevated its military cooperation with Moscow in recent months through the sale of ballistic missiles to that country. The Islamic Republic's insistence on supporting Russia's occupation in Ukraine comes as the United States and the European Union have imposed several extensive sanction packages against individuals and entities involved in the military relations between Tehran and Moscow. They have repeatedly warned that they will continue to impose more sanctions against the Iranian government.
