Zelensky: Ukraine's 'Victory Plan' Against Russia is Complete

Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, stated on Wednesday, September 19, that his country's 'Victory Plan' in the war, aimed at establishing peace while keeping Ukraine strong, has been completed after extensive consultations. Last month, Zelensky committed to presenting his plan to Joe Biden, the President of the United States. According to Reuters, Zelensky has provided daily updates on the preparation of this plan but has offered few clues about its contents. The victory plan only indicates that its goal is to create 'acceptable conditions' for Ukraine, which has been at war with Russia for over two and a half years. In his nightly video address, Zelensky said, 'Today we can say that our victory program is fully prepared. All points, all key axes, and all necessary minor additions have been specified in this plan, and the most important issue is the determination to implement it.' Ukraine faces decisive months ahead, and Volodymyr Zelensky is trying to gain more support from Western countries to take the initiative in the war against Russia. He has repeatedly called for the lifting of restrictions on the use of Western long-range weapons to attack strategic areas in Russia. Meanwhile, the Chairman of NATO's Military Committee stated on Saturday, September 16, that Ukraine has a 'strong legal and military right' to attack deep into Russian territory and achieve military superiority. Rob Bauer, during a joint press conference with General Karel Rhačka, Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces in Prague, stated that 'Ukraine's attacks deep into Russian territory using long-range missiles are completely legitimate' and added, 'NATO is working to assist Ukraine in its ability to defend itself by ensuring supplies and continuous training of Ukrainian forces.' Russian President Vladimir Putin previously stated that granting Ukraine permission to use long-range missiles to attack targets in our territory would mean direct involvement of NATO member countries in the war against Russia. After receiving and obtaining permission to use F-16 fighter jets from NATO, Ukraine was able to capture about 1,300 square kilometers of Russian territory in a surprise attack on the Kursk region, reportedly killing or wounding around 6,000 Russian soldiers, according to Volodymyr Zelensky. Putin recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics in the Donbas region on February 21, 2022, and three days later, on February 24, he launched a military attack on Ukrainian territory. In response to this Russian action, the United States and Western countries have imposed extensive sanctions on Moscow and sent billions of dollars in weapons and military equipment to Kyiv.
